OK, let's go...

These, then, are A. & A. from Bäd M., Germany.

They live - as you are able to see - quite a normal life as newlyweds in my hometown...

...fighting their daily battle against paparazzi like me when sitting in their favourite espresso bar
in front of Bäd M.'s castle.

But once I was able to inspire confidence (handy hint: you can feed them with cookies) they are really hand-tame and even accept elderly people like me.

So I was able to observe them in their natural environment for a while.
 

This is a Bentley Mark VI, 1954 model.

This is their car.

(It's a lie, but it sounds great, doesn't it?!? :-)

Everybody should own such a car.

Not only A. & A.
Or the Queen.

 It has a reliable motor (135 HP), but still enough space inside the engine compartment to dry your washed clothes during an excursion in the vicinity...

...a huge internal space to celebrate a party or just do stow your shopping.

A steering wheel...

...and an anti-aircraft searchlight belongs to the basic equipment.

But best of all: the (additional) outside makeup mirror!!!

Girls, isn't this a MUST-HAVE each car should have???

Everybody (boyz included) should own such a car, shouldn't we?

The visit of ACB0702 in Bäd Mergentheim

Hi folks! Recent weekend we enjoyed a part of our leisure time at our favourite Espressobar Italia in our hometown Bäd Mergentheim. Unexpectedly we had a special visitor - a teenage window mannequin named ACB0702, that shows already some traces of appropriate, but intensive usage.

Nello sprang for an ice cream cone with a ball of chocolate ice cream and thereafter ACB0702 took place in our midst.

The pink shoes of H. look really gorgeously on ACB0702's feet, don't they?

The strawberry shake obviously hits the spot as well... 

  

...and a smile flashed over ACB0702's face.

Even the back of the head seems to smile... ;-)

Bad Mergentheims allabendlich "hochgeklappte Bürgersteige"...

...literally translated: The sidewalks of Bad Mergentheim are hinged up every evening.

 Which means that the streets are deserted in the evening hours - although the current summer weather is really warm and fabulous.

But Germany is not Italy. Or Spain. Or Greece. Or Turkey.

If there's no event or party in the evening, you have to be at home. You close your shutters. And watch TV.

;-)

But fortunately we have Espressobar Italia in the center of my home town. "Real" Italians run the coffee an ice cream shop - and it's open until the last guest is kicked out... ;-)

So: a little "dolce far niente" and Italian feeling of being alive in Central Europe!

Just spend a very pleasant evening in the old town of the upper city of the Lombardic town.

Bergamo has two town parts:"Città alta" (upper city), a hilltop medieval town, surrounded by 17th century cyclopic defensive walls, and the "Città bassa" (lower city).

Together with a chummy colleague I had a great dinner on the Piazza Veccia (old square) in a very nice trattoria. The night temperature was still 23°C at 10 a.m. - at the time I took the photo above.

Whenever possible I try to catch and write some postcards (cartolina postale). 

And with an Italian espresso and some dolci the writing is much more fun...

Herr Nachbar kommt zum Kaffee...

...mit dem Auto bis direkt vor die Espressobar.
So mächt mer des in Bäd Merchedool.

...die Sonne scheint mir auf den Bauch.
Das soll sie auch.
