First magnolia blossom 2014

Okay, my first magnolia blossom I found and captured 2014 - namely today.

What's your favourite?
The photo with or without texture?

Does a passable photo need a texture?
What do you think?

...and my second blooming magnolia blossom I found.  ;-)

Enjoy your weekend!

  1. I love photos without texture more but sometimes textures are also very cool. :)

  8. In the case of a magnolia, I believe one without a texture is magnificent, but your textured photo is also beautiful. I would love to live where magnolias bloom....

  9. Either are beautiful. Texture gives your image some dimension though.

  10. Both are beautiful, but I really like them best without te texture. To me, without the texture, shows the clear, vibrant blooms of the new Spring.

  13. This is very interesting. The magnolia is the quintessential "southern" flower in the southern USA. I never thought about them being in Germany! It's lovely!

I'm pretty much an out of the camera type of gal, but adding textures for the memes can be fun. Love how your photo seems to show the flower as suspended in the air. Very nice.

  17. Traumhafte Fotos! ;)

  18. When it comes to flowers, I prefer the photo without texture. The second is my favorite, I like luminous flowers. In my part of the world, some species are coming late due to the unusual cold and snowy winter, and magnolia is one of them. On the contrary, some like cherry blossoms are coming soon as usual.
