Paperflower - among others - is another name for this beauty, native of South America, because
As you are able to see, I reworked my today's photos with different types of textures.
As some of you already know, I'm more a fan of displaying my photographs without texture (attitude: a good photo doesn't normally need any 'camouflage' by textures), but every now and then I try to find a different imagery.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - so it's up to you to judge my work.

The Bougainvillea plant I took photos of is standing in a bigger flower pot right of the entrance of the house where I live.
In wintertime I take the pot and put my Bougainvillea to a frost-free and bright place until May next year.
This photo above is my personal favourite with regard to the texture.
What do you think?
Have a great workweek!
Just beautiful!
AntwortenLöschenWunderschöne Blüten und interessante Bearbeitungen. Ich mag das erste Foto besonders gern!
AntwortenLöschenLiebe Grüße

Beautiful flower. I love the texture you added to the photo with the filter.
AntwortenLöschenSuperb flower Uwe, and the photoshop.
AntwortenLöschenLovely edit in these shots.
AntwortenLöschenThe texture is very nice, it doesn't seem to affect the flower much. I like the dreamy first one and the partly blurry last one.
AntwortenLöschenBeautiful flower and textures. My favorite is the last one!
AntwortenLöschenWow. What a stunning flower. The purple is so rich and beautiful.
AntwortenLöschenIn the first three images, it looks like that real Bougainvillea popping out from a fabric. My favorite is the last.
AntwortenLöschenYoko
Such a beautiful flower!
AntwortenLöschenMy favorite colors - purple and green. A quite beautiful flower.
AntwortenLöschenI like the one you like best!
AntwortenLöschenDas erste und das letzte Bild.Wunderschoene Blumen bezw. Blüten.Hoffentlich bleibt sie Dir noch lange erhalten!
AntwortenLöschenHow lovely`

love the vibrant colour of the flowers
AntwortenLöschenVery pretty! <3
AntwortenLöschenTack, tack! ;-)

Those always remind me of living in Thailand where they were plentiful! Love them!
AntwortenLöschenFab! I too like #4 most
AntwortenLöschenI agree with you about the best effect and I also like the first one. Although I love fiddling around with photos - particularly flower-photos - I find textures to be the least used feature. Maybe I'll try again!
AntwortenLöschenYeah, that's the same with me, John. Like you I prefer fiddling around with some of my best shots to make the best of them. But the use of textures is very often not within range of the tools I use. It seem to be more a "ladies tool" to 'improve' / rework their photos. Nearly none of the male photographers I know use textures every now and then - with the exception of me... ;-)
AntwortenLöschenExquisite series of this lovely blossom! Thanks for sharing the love up-close with I Heart Macro:-)
AntwortenLöschenI like the 'canvas-like' post processing. nice ! Have a wonderful weekend wherever you are !
