Postcards from Saint Augustine, Florida

OLDEST HOUSE: A national historic landmark documented from 1727 at St. Augustine, Florida.

PONCE DE LEON STATUE: This statue was erected in 1923, as a gift from Dr. A. Anderson. This is a replica of a statue in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Juan Ponce de Leon was governor of the Spanish colony of Puerto Rico, before setting out on a vayage in 1513 that resulted in his discovery of Florida.

Unbelievable - but true:
My dear friend C. was able to find a post office (after almost four weeks!) at St. Augustine, Florida, to buy some stamps for two postcards.
Thanxx a lot, C. , your postcards were the first of two highlights in the month of February!

Highlight no. 2: Our short trip to V. and a boat trip with a junk through Halong Bay (Vietnamese: Vịnh Hạ Long).

A postcard from V. is already on the way to you!

;-))
