A view along the Schmiedgasse ("smith alley") in Ploenlein tower direction.
The same situation in westerly direction along the Herrngasse ("gentlemen alley").More or less every square centimeter (square inch for our American blog readers) was overcrowded with people of all nations.
Hardly to believe that there was still something like a "Christmas spirit" on the streets and in the shops of Rothenburg.
But beside the main roads and the central Xmas fair there were considerably less tourists and the atmosphere was much more relaxed.
The annual Rothenburg Christmas crib with its crib figurines on a scale of nearly 1 : 2 is really an eye candy for everybody with a sense of beauty & folk art. No matter if someone's religious or not.
