Sunday hiking tour through Franconian Switzerland

The Franconian Switzerland (German: Fränkische Schweiz) is located at northern Bavaria, it's an upland in Upper Frankonia (German: Oberfranken). It's one of the oldest and most popular holiday areas in Germany. I'm sure that most of you are not interested in reading that the Franconian Switzerland is the region with the highest density of private breweries on this planet!
But - what is obviously more notable for you to know - the description "Switzerland" was common during the 19th century for landscapes with mountains, valleys and most significant rocks, because the artists and poets of this period (romantic movement) compared this type of landscape to Switzerland.
And Elke, Wolfgang, Flint (the Dobermann), Heike & me were hiking on the poets trails through this beautiful landscape with its romantic rivers and water-clear creeks, bizarre rock formations, pristine forrests and ancient buildings. Our break we took at Landgasthof Bauernschmitt at the small village of Kirchenbirkig near Pottenstein. Great food - and great "Apfel- & Traubensaftschorle" (apple / grape spritzer) --> Who really wants to have a "Dunkles" (--> Guinness)???
