Lavandula angustifolia - Echter Lavendel - true lavender
There's a small lavender garden in the spa garden of my hometown Bad Mergentheim.
Is a symbol and reminiscence for one of Bad Mergentheims twin towns: Digne-les-Bains, the capital of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department and a primary center of the lavender trade.
Not far away from the lavender garden, there's another garden area with different medicinal and aromatic herbs. Here's a blooming sage [salvina officinalis]...
...next to one of my favourite flowers: Calendula officinalis, also known als English marigold or Ringelblume.
The little blue blossoms belong to a borage.
