plum blossom - Pflaumenblüte

There's an old plum tree direct in front of the balcony of our bedroom. This old plum tree is in stranglehold of an ivy; its stock and most of the branches are clad in this ivy. So every year in springtime less and less of the tree branches produce blossoms. That would be really a great pity if none of the blossom reflourish again, wouldn't it?

Blossoming of the magnolia trees

This year the blossoms of the magnolia trees had to suffer because of the low temperatures during the last weeks of March. So many of them have frostbitten seams or areas. If you find a magnolia tree next to a house or another sheltered location you will have good luck and can find some blossoms without any damage. I took the pictures last week at Lauffen/Germany.
