14 days ago we were in search of a notion of spring...
...and we found it at Lake Geneva.

But not only the daylight conditions were great, also the night scenes at Geneva were worth taking some photos. Especially the lakeside scenery with its many-coloured lights reflecting on the water surface was really beautiful.

The famous "jet d'eau" (water jet), the large fountain and landmark of Geneva.
500 litres (132 gallons) of water per second are jetted to an altitude of 140 metres (459 feet) by two 500 kW pumps. The water leaves the nozzle at a speed of 200 km/h (124 mph). When it is in operation, at any given moment there are approx. more than 7000 litres (1849 gallons) of water in the air.
